Al Arbour became the second coach in NHL history to win 700 games, as the Islanders won 5-2 over the Flyers in New York.

March 10, 1996
Daren Puppa recorded his second straight shutout to become the first goaltender to get 10 shutouts in a Tampa Bay uniform in a 1-0 win over the visiting Washington Capitals. It was also the Lightning's 6th straight home win - a franchise record.
